Recording notes from visiting artist got me thinking about family, boxed away, hidden, torn off. 

Listening to the radio in the morning someone mentioned their place in their family with siblings. Not considered a family relationship as having a "place" before. Often referred to as "2 youngest" with my sister. Made me think about the handmade outfits we wore to visit grandma "Sunday best" presentation but actually, they were a million miles from the 80's that we were in - matching pastel floral ribbons, cropped cards and trousers, dresses and bonnets... Never really considered this being un-normal ... till a recent conversation with Laura in the studio about families and collections.

think I have an idea for a series of 3 paintings.. need to prep 3 canvases and source some photographs.

Also, I don't need a questionnaire and related ethics forms if I focus just on these paintings.

also, listening to the radio - some interviews done with workers in America just focused on what the day was like.. I like this idea; a more candid discussion than a set of questions and maybe photos to illustrate them - like a snapshot of the banal in 2022.  I could speak to women about their typical day.
