14 October Print workshop and documentation
I really enjoyed this session. I'd underestimated the sensitivity of this form of printing. I scratched my plate across the floor ahead of going into the print space to get some marks but the plastic facilitated a lot of marks really easily and the ink picks out minor details.
I'm still really happy with how the prints came out but feel less is definately more. I'd made a deep engraved pattern in one section that printed really dark. The softer lines are much more beautiful.
Kite liked this print but it had been hurriedly prepped and again I underestimated the ink - I did this on a black plastic. It's easy to see what you're drawing but it's harder to see how much ink you're removing before printing.

Anna Francis shared these via the Fine Art Insta after I posted my recent work as it reminded her of these.
I love the textures.
