1 November; Proposals and Fairytales.

Thinking more about fairy tales - the best parts of my childhood were fairy tales and being outside. Both were forms of escapism for me and I still find joy in them now.   I'm drawn to art that I has an atmosphere of an imaginary or magical place- much like the painting Bird in Hand 2006  I also appreciate the imagination that abstraction evokes.  I'm still at my most content in woodland and green spaces.  

My research into female roles can be entwined with both of these areas thinking about Nature / nurture,  Mother Nature v Religion.

My MA proposal has a clearer direction now.  Spent a lot of today structuring my MA proposal.
